Sacramento, CA
Sacramento author Bill Pieper’s latest book, “Forgive Me, Father,” is a collection of twelve stories that come from his Pushcart Prize nominated lead story. All of the stories are set in Northern California, including several in Sacramento and Stockton. The characters run the spectrum from privileged to poor, but most are living on the margins of society: drug-takers and drug-sellers, homeless and runaways, desperate old and the confused young. In any sense, they don’t quite fit in. Pieper has two events to celebrate the release of the new book on Dec. 13, at Shine Cafe and Dec. 20, at Sacramento Poetry Center.
