A city that is easy (and safe) to navigate on bike typically attracts and keeps the next generation of young workers -who will then drive the economy and culture forward. While Sacramento ranks fairly high nationally in terms of bike friendliness, it’s actually behind the curve on creating protected bike lanes, which many other cities across the country are already doing.
