It started with Capital Public Radio’s Jazz Music Director Gary Vercelli reading an essay about how he fell in love with jazz. It soon snowballed into an outpouring of listener’s stories about how they started their love affair with the music.

Which is why CapRadio Music created a contest to reward the best story about falling in love with jazz. The contest ends Valentine’s Day and Vercelli joins us this morning with some of the best submissions he’s collected so far.
