Ana Castillo is a Mexican-American Chicana novelist, poet, short story writer, essayist, editor, playwright, translator and independent scholar. She's here in Sacramento to do a free reading and coordinate a writing workshop, which will focus on memoir and spiritual activism. Both events will be held at the Sacramento Poetry Center on Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21.
