Pebble Beach Food & Wine starts Thursday and it’s one of the most prestigious culinary festivals on the planet. This year, six Sacramento chefs are being showcased. This was thanks to the event's culinary manager, Dorothy Maras, who thinks the food scene in Sacramento is "ibrant, edgy and a hotbed of creativity."

Maras invited chefs Billy Ngo of Kru, Oliver Ridgeway from Grange, Ramon Perez of Purr Chocolate, Kelly McCown from Selland Family Restaurants, and Michael Thiemann and Matt Masera of Mother and Empress Tavern, which is coming soon on the bottom floor of the Crest Theater.
