You can’t go wrong combing the talents behind the classic American novel "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" and the country song "King of the Road." The Tony Award-winning adventure "Big River" is a poignant and hilarious musical adaptation Mark Twain’s tale about Huck and Jim floating the mighty Mississippi on a journey of hope and self-discovery.
Set to a score created by composer/honky-tonk man Roger Miller, "Big River" also features toe-tapping blue grass and country music that brings Twain’s masterwork to life. "Big River" is playing at Music Circus Tuesday, June 23 through Sunday, June 28. Joining Insight ahead of opening night are actors Jennifer Leigh Warren, playing Alice, and Sacramento local man Omari Tau, who’s performing in the ensemble.
