The mood in churches around the country was sullen this past Sunday as parishioners mourned the victims of a racially motivated attack in Charleston, South Carolina last week. Nine people died from bullet shots at the historically black Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston last Wednesday night. Sacramento’s three AME churches held a vigil last Friday and churchgoers of all color shared their feelings at Sunday morning faith services.
