When the Sacramento Jazz Society changed the name of the Sacramento Dixieland Jazz Jubilee and started booking more rock and blues acts some cried the end of traditional jazz in the region. A new festival sprung up to fill the void and now people are saying there’s an upswing for the art form. Hot Jazz Jubilee founder Ken McMurray and jazz musician Patrick Skiffington join us to talk about Sacramento’s traditional jazz scene.
