Sacramento, CA
It’s been a tumultuous few weeks for Republicans. John Boehner announced his resignation as Speaker of the House and all eyes seemed fixed on California’s Kevin McCarthy as his possible successor. Then on Thursday of last week, McCarthy dropped out of the race and it was “chaos” in the house. At least, that’s according The New York Times. Today on Insight, the Political Junkie Ken Rudin joins us to talk about what this means for the California GOP and what happens next. Rudin is known to many NPR listeners from his many years talking all things politics with Neal Conan on "Talk of the Nation.” He joins us from Washington D.C. every Monday to put national politics in perspective.
