In "Flight," by Charlayne Woodard, enslaved men and women on a Georgia plantation seek to comfort a small boy who has climbed a tree in fear after seeing his mother sold off the plantation. Sac State’s production features an expanded cast of dancers and musicians from previous productions, and includes original music by professor emeritus Deborah Pittman.
"Flight" is directed by Sac State’s Department of Theatre and Dance Chair Melinda Wilson Ramey, and runs October 21 - November 1, 2015 at Sacramento State University Theatre in Shasta Hall. Wilson Ramey and Pittman join Insight to talk about Sac State’s production of "Flight."
