Thanks to some cold and wet storms this past week, Alpine Meadows Ski Resort in Tahoe is opening earlier than it has in more than a decade. A flurry of other ski resorts -- Northstar, Kirkwood, Heavenly and Squaw Valley- are opening moving their open dates up and turning on the chair lifts for skiers this Saturday. This comes as welcome news to the Tahoe area resorts that have been hard hit by four years of drought and warm weather. President and CEO of Squaw Valley Holdings Andy Wirth joins Insight to talk about the early openings. He oversees Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows.
