Sacramento, CA
On a covered wagon and on a steam train, they came for the timber and they came for the gold. Since the 1800s the town of Truckee has been beacon for people seeking adventure, fun and fortune.
Between the bordellos, the railroad and the gold mines, there’s no shortage of stories to tell. And that’s good news for singer, songwriter Richard Blair. He’s had good fortune telling the tales of Truckee in a stage show called “The Streets of Truckee.”
In Americana music style, Blair sings tales of the varied characters in Truckee's history while actors in 1800s dress act out the stories in short skits between songs. Blair joins Insight to preview two upcoming shows he has at the Cottonwood Restaurant in Truckee.
