Chris Nichols is Capital Public Radio's Politifact California reporter. He joins Insight to talk about two recent fact-checks. The first comes from an interest group that hopes to extend an income tax on the wealthiest Californians through Proposition 30. The group says that California has more kids in poverty than virtually any other state, a claim that garnered a "Mostly True" rating. Nichols also looked into a statement made by state Senate Leader Kevin De Leon that California's job growth outpaces the rest of the nation. That claim also received a "Mostly True" rating.
