California Governor Jerry Brown is expected to layout some of his priorities for the coming year in his State of the State address Thursday morning. But will these priorities affect Californians entrenched in poverty?

Sammy Nuñez is the executive director of Fathers and Families of San Joaquin and represents people struggling with poverty in Stockton. He joins Insight with a wish list of policies he’d like to see the governor highlight in his State of the State address.
