Sacramento Sate President Robert Nelsen outlined some eye-catching objectives in his spring address this past week. He wants to improve the university’s low four-year-graduation rate –which is currently 8 percent and create a diversity office in response to students across the nation calling for racial diversity on college campuses.

The new president is also facing a potential faculty strike as negotiations with California Faculty Association and the CSU system remain at an impasse. Needless to say, Nelsen has a lot on his plate as Sac State kicks off its spring semester this week. He joins Insight for a discussion about what needs to be done in the months ahead.
