Green Valley Theatre Company’s next production is a unique musical called "The Last Five Years." It was written by Jason Robert Brown and won the 2002 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music and Lyrics.

"The Last Five Years" tells the story of the romance between aspiring actress Cathy and novelist Jamie. But Cathy's story is told in reverse chronological order while Jamie's is told in your typical chronological order.The characters’ only direct interaction is in the middle of the show as their timelines intersect.

Director and lead actor Kevin Caravalho joins Insight to talk more about the two-person musical. The Last Five Years runs through March 6 at in the Grange Performing Arts Center in Sacramento.
