Sacramento, CA
On March 2, Sacramento's Rio Americano High School will say good-bye to the music rooms that have launched some remarkable talent over many decades. The old rooms will be leveled to make way for a new performing arts center funded, in part, by a school bond known as Measure N, which voters approved in 2012.
High schools through the San Juan Unified School District are undergoing similar changes because of Measure N. District Superintendent Kent Kern and Rio's band director, Josh Murray, joins Insight Host, Beth Ruyak to explain.
