Sacramento, CA
It can be a surprising statistic for many people, but Sacramento is one of the largest centers of human trafficking in the United States.
The problem is so serious that former Sacramento County District Attorney Jan Sculley, recently put together a coalition of organizations to fight human trafficking, and there are a number of non-profit organizations dedicated to rescuing and helping victims of human trafficking in the region.
A panel discussion will be held Thursday night in Sacramento to bring awareness to the various issues that lead to human trafficking.
Jenny Williamson, the executive director of Courage Worldwide, will join us in studio to talk about human trafficking in Sacramento.
