Sacramento, CA
Volunteers are gearing up for the 26th annual Creek Week in Sacramento County. What is Creek Week? It’s a county-wide effort to educate residents to care for and clean-up their community creeks.
Last year, more than 1,800 volunteers cleaned and removed 16 tons of garbage from creeks throughout Sacramento County during the annual Creek Week clean up.
This year’s Creek Week 2016 kicks off Friday at Glen Hall Park in Sacramento. There a variety of activities planned at different regional parks throughout the week, culminating in the Big Clean Saturday, April 9.
