It’s an issue most parents grapple with at some point – where is the line between protecting your child or being completely overbearing, especially in this internet age of sexting and cyberbullying?

Those are some of the themes explored in Paula Treick DeBoard’s new novel “The Drowning Girls.” The Modesto-based author and teacher will celebrate the launch of her third book Thursday, April 28 at Tresetti’s in downtown Modesto.
