Sacramento, CA
Construction of Sacramento’s new B Street Theatre becomes a reality Thursday with a groundbreaking at the new location at 27th Street and Capitol Avenue. The planned complex includes two theaters with 615 seats, a café and various gathering spaces. It’s expected to add at least $40 million to the regional economy in its first five years and the creation of new jobs.
B Street’s Producing Artistic Director, Buck Busfield, talks about the plan with Insight host, Beth Ruyak. Capital Public Radio’s Arts & Theater Critic, Jeff Hudson, joins the conversation to add history and perspective on the changing Sacramento arts scene.
