The number of competitions sports dogs and people can compete in as a team has exploded in recent years, because they're fun activities for dogs and people alike.
They break down into sports that are "breed type" specific, such as hunting tests for gundogs, rodent tests for terriers, and coursing tests for greyhounds, borzoi or other big-running dogs.
The other category is "open to all comers," including mixed breeds. These include agility, obedience, tracking, scent-discrimination, dog-dancing, dock-diving and more.
Pet expert Gina Spadafori joins us for this month’s Pet Tales to explain different types of dog sports.
