Insight has a performance from 4th, 5th and 6th graders from Mission Avenue Open Elementary with their director Mica Dugan. Their jazz combo is called “Suddenly Pineapples.” 

They have performed in the past at the Kiwanis Jazz Festival, the Dante Club, Elks Lodge #6, Hot Jazz Jubilee, Sac State Winter Jazz Festival, many SJUSD events, Santa Cruz Jazz Festival, the Sacramento Music Festival and the Hot Jazz Jubilee. 

They tell us more about how the group became part of the school program and what instruments they play. We also get a live in studio performance.
