California’s new End of Life Option Act takes effect today, June 9, 2016, and Elizabeth Wallner is grateful to have the option available.

Elizabeth has colon cancer which has now spread to other organs including her liver and lungs.

She and her family members have been open and public about their decision to choose aid in dying when and if the time seems appropriate.

Elizabeth joined Insight host Beth Ruyak in the studio in March to talk about California’s new law. She returns today to update her condition after two recent surgeries.
