Sacramento, CA
Singer-songwriter Richard March has returned to the stage after a 27-month stint serving in the Peace Corps. The longtime Sacramento musician took a break from performing in 2013 to fullfill a lifelong dream of being a Peace Corp volunteer. He was sent to Motta, Ethiopia where he used music to teach English to both teachers and students.
He will perform later this summer at the Valhalla Festival in South Lake Take. But today, he joins Beth Ruyak in studio to talk about his experience in Ethiopia and what it's been like to readjust to life in the United States. He'll also perform.
