California Politifact reporter Chris Nichols has been busy looking for fact checks during both the Republican and Democratic National Convention. 

He joins Insight today to examine two claims made toward Republican nominee Donald Trump's running mate Mike Pence.

One was by Gov. Jerry Brown saying Pence denies the concept of evolution. The original rating was changed after readers made points about Pence's responses to questions about evolution.

The second claim was by Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom. He says Pence "advocated diverting taxpayer dollars to so-called conversion therapy." Pence gave a response to the claim on his website.
