Davis Farmers Market Celebrating 40 Years

Four UC Davis students founded the Davis Farmers Market in 1976. In 1994, the City of Davis built the Farmers Market Pavilion using public funds, making it the only farmers market in the state with its own structure.

There will be a country-fair-style celebration this weekend in Davis in celebration of the market's 40th anniversary.

Davis Farmers Market manager Randii MacNear joins Insight to tell us more about the history of the market and where it is now. We'll also learn more about the 40th anniversary celebration from Gail Hayden.
