Reporter Ben Bradford has been exploring the harsh reality that is being a patient under Denti-Cal in California. With his feature airing today, he joins us to talk about the millions of Californians who wait up to months for dental care.

His reporting found that the very limited number of dentists willing to take Denti-Cal patients and the large amount of paperwork stifles the time it takes for someone  under the program to receive dental care.

This can often mean that a child with a cavity could wait months to have it treated, but by then, the tooth could already be past saving.
