CapRadio Reporter Julia Mitric Shares Experience Reporting On California Farmworkers

Farm employment in the Sacramento region grew by 900 jobs in April which helped lower the jobless rate to 3.4 percent - a record low.

 

Who are today's farmworkers?  And to what degree are they aware of the labor battle being fought?

Capital Public Radio's Food and Sustainability Reporter Julia Mitric visited a farm in Dixon to try to get a better understanding.
