Sacramento, CA
With election day coming in just a matter of weeks, there are a number of ballot measures for you to get up to speed on.
One is Proposition 55, which would extend taxes on the highest earning Californians until 2030 to fund schools, medical and other state programs. Supporters of the measure argue it’s needed to prevent $4 billion being lost in school funds.
Its opponents say we have a budget surplus, calling it "more unnecessary taxes."
Our Capitol Bureau Chief Ben Adler took a look at both sides of the measure; he joins us with his report and explains the massive voter guide containing all of the elected offices and measures up for your vote come November 8th.
