Sacramento embarks on a new phase of leadership with the swearing-in of Mayor-Elect Darrell Steinberg.

A familiar face to the capital of Sacramento, Steinberg worked his way up from city councilman to State Senate President.

His campaign focused on a strong economic strategy for the city -- a plan to address homelessness and affordable housing as well as improve police relations with the community.
