PolitiFact California is celebrating a year of fact-checking claims and statements by politicians and beyond.
And it has been a busy first year.
The team has dealt with a presidential election featuring dozens of misstatements by the candidates. The proliferation of “fake news” stories across the web and hyperbole in ballot measure ads ensured no shortage of work.
