One of the last survivors who escaped the Ghost Ship Fire in Oakland in December continues to fight for his life.
Sam Maxwell, currently staying in a San Francisco hospital, had his throat seared by smoke. What was meant to be a simple procedure resulted in weeks of recovery.
His parents, Stockton residents Bill and Wendi Maxwell have been sitting at his hospital bedside every day.
They join Insight and explain the daily struggle as well as the concern over artists’ safety in the underground scene.
Donations toward Sam's medical costs and recovery can be made through YouCaring here or GoFundMe here.
