NCAA Tournament Gives Sacramento Economic Boost

It’s estimated Sacramento will get a $5-million boost from hosting the MidWest Region of the NCAA tournament at the Golden 1 Center this past weekend.

However, who that money is going to and how it will be spent is yet to be determined. Mike Sophia is the director of the Sacramento Sports Commission, one of the city agencies key to securing the NCAA 2017 games in Sacramento.

He reviews the weekend’s activities and the economic totals on Insight.
