Sacramento, CA
Every year, a group of Nevada County musicians and artists team up for a tribute to one of the seminal songwriters of our time.
“A Thousand Kisses Deep: A Tribute to Leonard Cohen” returns to the Crest Theater in Sacramento on Saturday, March 25. It will be the 15th time Paul Emery has brought a cast of many to the stage to perform a collection of Cohen’s greatest songs.
It will also be the first time they’ve staged this show since Cohen died in November 2016.
We’ll listen back to an interview from April 2016. Guest host Pamela Wu spoke with Paul Emery and singers Anni McCann and Stephen Holland about Cohen’s legacy. She began by asking Paul to explain how the production came to be.
