The use of chemical gas on civilians in Syria triggered a sharp response by the United States and also reignited fears amongst local residents.

Safa Faki emigrated from Syria to Sacramento 4 years ago, but much of her family remains in the same province attacked by these weapons.

Faki says her family is now preparing for future attacks in the region and potential retaliation by the United States.
