One of the best-known historians of the Sierra Nevada has a new book out.

Gary Noy will celebrate the release of “Gold Rush Stories: 49 Tales of Seekers, Scoundrels, Loss and Luck” with two events this week.

The book is the anticipated follow up to Noy’s 2014 “Sierra Stories: Tales of Dreamers, Schemers, Bigots and Rogues.” Noy talks about his latest collection of stories.
