Something went awry in several areas of Fresno County when hundreds of thousands of bees were found dead.
Every year in February, these honey bees were used to pollinate California almonds.
The County AG Commissioner is leading an investigation into what happened but beekeepers are convinced the bees died from illegal pesticide applications near the almonds.
Capital Public Radio’s Julia Mitric followed the trail for weeks to find out what caused it. She shares her findings on Insight.
