Sacramento, CA
It's harvest time, and the cooler temperatures mean more hang time for grapes.
Resident wine expert Rick Kushman describes the scene in Napa Valley as it is a busy time of year for wineries across California. Harvest season is early once again this year, but not as early as 2015.
Kushman says the crop is slightly smaller than average but not enough for consumers to visibly notice other than a minimal price increase on higher-end wines.
Kushman will also lead a vineyard tour at Iron Hub Winery in Amador County on Sept. 24 at 11 a.m.
