Sacramento, CA
This June marks the one-year anniversary since California passed its aid in dying law.
A new report finds more than 500 Californians have gotten access to the medication and nearly 500 facilities across the state have offered resources to those interested in the care. Kat West is the National Director of Policy & Programs at Compassion & Choices, the organization behind the report.
She explains what California has learned from its first year offering End of Life medications and what adjustments will be made in the future.
