UPDATE 07/13/17: There will be a Founding Editors In Conversation event Saturday, July 15 at the Crocker Art Museum.
A new exhibit at the Crocker Art Museum may cause the assumption that it was inspired by corn syrup when it was instead based off a magazine that captures a diverse patchwork of artists, each with their own style and vision.
"Turn the Page: The First Ten Years of Hi-Fructose" uses special paper, colors and dimensions to draw out the emergence of "lowbrow art."
Artist/painter Mark Dean Veca explains more about the exhibit's goal and expected outcomes alongside Christie Hajela, the Crocker's curator.
