There are 13 major wildfires burning across California with 5,000 firefighters tasked with battling them, a notable one being the Wall Fire in Butte County that continues to loom large.
It is forcing thousands of people to evacuate and is burning at 5,800 acres at a 45 percent containment.
The California National Guard has been deployed in the region and air tankers are being used to slow the spread of flames.
CAL FIRE Chief Ken Pimlott further discusses the status of the flames blazing across the state.
