Sacramento, CA
A jazz pianist whose career flipped from traveling musician to deputy attorney general and back again to music will play new compositions this week.
Dave Bass had a respected reputation until the mid-80s in San Francisco's Latin jazz scene until a slip-and-fall accident left him unable to perform for years.
It was over a decade ago was when he switched his hat back music after a career in law. He's been playing again ever since.
He previews his concert this weekend, which will feature two new compositions and special bassist Jeff Chambers.
