Former President Donald Trump faces a second impeachment trial in the Senate about a year after he was acquitted in his first impeachment. Democrats will focus on Trump’s alleged subversion of the 2020 election, which resulted in the attempted insurrection in early January. But Trump’s lawyers will argue that the former president was exercising his right of free speech and question the constitutionality of impeaching a former president; we navigate the arguments and implications of the historic impeachment trial.
