A San Francisco Chronicle columnist is the featured author at Stories on Stage for the month of June.

Vanessa Hua’s story for the event, “The Older The Ginger,” comes from her collection “Deceit and Other Possibilities,” which won the Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature and was a finalist for a California Book Award and the Willow Books Literature Award Grand Prize.

Her novel will be released in Spring 2018. Stories on Stage will be on Friday, June 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the CLARA auditorium.

Actor Hock Tjoa will read an excerpt from Hua's story for the event.
