The 58th Monterey Jazz Festival starts this Friday and runs through the weekend. Capital Public Radio Jazz Music Director Gary Vercelli recently spoke with artistic director Tim Jackson about this year’s spotlight on jazz great Chick Corea and the festival’s long tradition of educating young musicians.
