Although not a household name, Albrecht Dürer is a well-respected German artist known by most art lovers. A contemporary of Italian painter Raphael, Dürer revolutionized the arts of drawing, painting, and printmaking. The Crocker Art Museum’s current exhibit, “The Age of Albrecht Dürer: German Drawings from the École des Beaux-Arts, Paris,” is centered around the works of Dürer, and features more than 100 drawings, prints, and illustrated books from the renowned École des Beaux-Arts, Paris. Appearing for a special guest lecture Saturday afternoon is Chief Curator in charge of Master Drawings at École des Beaux-Arts academy in Paris, Emmanuelle Brugerolles. She joins Insight with Crocker Art Museum curator William Breazeale to talk about the exhibit and the legacy of Dürer. The exhibition continues through Feb. 14.
