Frank Romano’s book, “Love and Terror in the Middle East” tells the story of how he fulfilled a 30-year-old vision to someday work for peace in the Middle East. His work led him to the most contested areas in the West Bank, like the Jenin Refugee Camp and the Old City in Hebron. Romano released a fourth edition of the book this past summer that includes a new chapter called “In the Midst of a Riot.” It recounts his harrowing experience in Jenin, West Bank, where he was caught in a group of rioting Palestinians who were protesting the killing of a Palestinian youth by Israeli soldiers.
